World Poker Tour returns to the home of UK poker, Dusk Till Dawn Poker & Casino, Nottingham this September for a festival in partnership with partypoker LIVE that comes with a massive $2.5 million in guarantees!
Stretching across September 22 – October 6, Dusk Till Dawn will host the WPT Main Tour and WPTDeepStacks together, with the schedule also featuring WPT UK $550 Opener, WPT $220 Ladies, $5,300 Devilfish Cup, and $330Freezeout event.
A History of WPT UK
partypoker and WPT have a rich history together of bringing exciting live poker events to the UK, including the National Championship to London, between 2013 and 2016.
Back in Season IX, a young Jake Cody took his second step towards becoming the youngest and fastest triple-crown winner when he won the WPT London£5,300 Main Event and with it a first-place prize worth £273,783.
The WPT Alpha8 twice saw some of the best high-stakes players in the world compete in England’s capital city including current partypoker proPhilipp Gruissem, who defeated Scott Seiver heads-up to win the $100,000 buy-in event for £862,400 in 2013.
Just a year later it was Daniel Colman who tasted victory after the American saw off the final challenge from Max Altergott to win the £60,000 buy-in tournament for £600,000.

Nearly five years ago saw Dusk Till Dawn and WPT partner to bring a festival of brilliant poker offerings once again to the people of the UK. The partypoker WPT UK £3,000 Main Event came with a £1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool and saw a wealth of talent on display including Antoine Saout, Sylvain Loosli, Adrian Mateos, Ben Vinson, Ben Dobson, David Peters, Ben Winsor,
Sergio Aido and Chris Moorman, who all cashed, before Matas Cimbolas (pictured below) won the £200,000 top prize.
The festival also saw a breakthrough moment in live poker for current partypoker ambassador Patrick Leonard, who secured a sixth-place finish in the Main Event and the runners-up spot in the £6,000 High Roller, following a heads-up battle against eventual winner Bryn Kenney.
Iaron Lightbourne (pictured) claimed the WPT UK Main Event title in 2015 after he came through a 450 player-field and a final table that included the likes of Billy Chattaway, Michael Chi Zhang, Fraser Bellamy, and Craig McCorkell to take home £200,000.

The current defending Main Event champion is Luis Rodriguez Cruz (pictured) after the Spaniard won the £200,000 first-place prize money back in 2016. On that occasion, a field of 522 entrants took part in the £2,200 event, with Cruz defeating Christopher Yong heads-up for the title.
